Acupuncture is rarely the first choice in the treatment of children but as you can see it has been nothing short of miraculous for this patient.
This little patient's eczema started a year ago and had recently spread to her face. It was circular in appearance and often moist. These details are important and are an indication of the remedy that will be healing for that person.
The appearance looked similar to impetigo and in fact she had had impetigo which is a bacterial infection on a couple of occasions. Interesting to me that her eczema responded better to the antibiotics than the hydrocortisone cream, however they were minimal improvements and short lasting. I felt there could be a bacterial aspect to this case.
After taking the patient's case I prescribed a remedy that matched the general characteristics of her eczema and a remedy that is often called a 'constitutional' remedy'. This means the remedy matches many other aspects of the patient's health too and it acts deeply. She also had asthma and had been prescribed inhalers, had an artistic nature and I sensed her free spirit.
